So it's not a $500 stand. And you get what you pay for. As a maker, I wanted to save time and didn't mind welding it together. So I bought it for a small trailer that would fit my 4 kayaks and a 10ft fishing boat. It will work perfectly. Cheaper than building my own and powering it. However, since the average person doesn't hold a tap and die set on hand, I would suggest that you reinstall all the set screws and tighten them all the way down to clean the weld nut threads. The machine's poor performance makes it difficult to tell when you're actually pushing the other bar to get everything taut. The welds aren't strong but should work if you don't break them like I did. They're not much more than cozy. Also, the welds are cracked. Except for this solid piece.
