I've been trying to tame 3B curls my whole life, mostly because nobody's ever shown me how to do it. After years of exposure to harsh chemicals I started taking full care of my curls, doing hair research and have spent the last 8 years regrowing and repairing the damage. But I find my ends are always ugly and my escapes are due to obvious breakage. That's why I cut my hair an inch a couple of times a year (and I don't have split ends, I've been to a lot of hairdressers for that). Much has improved from switching shampoos and conditioners, and I'm reluctant to spend more on a leave-in than an expensive and complicated Starbucks coffee. But the problem is the ends. A few months ago I heard advice about how ordinary towels actually damage hair. I just ordered it a few days ago and washed my hair this morning and used a towel. My curls look almost as amazing as if I took the time to twist and wrap my hair. The ends aren't frizzy or rough, and I didn't feel any tugging or tugging on the strands. Such a simple solution. This is a fairly large towel made from a very soft and thick t-shirt fabric. My hair is shoulder length, and there's plenty of room for those with medium back hair. The anti-fray edge stitching is colored and gives the fabric a little liveliness. I will buy a few more.
