I bought these to replace 4 650 lumen light bulbs in a 10x12 kitchen. I was always dissatisfied with the amount of light from the originals, so when I bought LEDs I deliberately increased the lumens. The new ones are a lot brighter than I expected and brighter than I need in normal mode. Luckily they can be dimmed and I have a dimmer in my wall switch so I can dim them when I don't need full brightness. In general I am very happy with them. Note, however, that I've only had them for a few weeks. So I don't know if they will last as long as the manufacturer promises.
