Review on Dorman 599-218 Front HVAC 🔧 Control Module for Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac Models by Justin Cage

It worked well. My original worked, except for the backlight on the top (handle) of the control unit. I tolerated that for a while, but eventually I got angry. It was easy to install. Pulled the dash bezel out (helps turn on the ignition and engage the auto transmission selector (truck doesn't work). Then there are two screws, and you pinch these little tabs above and below each screw so they slide out. Two harness connectors... and the old one came out. The new one goes in reverse. I checked all the functions and the backlight. Everything works. OEM/NAPA and even Advance Auto have all the replacement parts for $200 including this one. The price was half the price.
