It's like a paper towel on steroids! The job I get in just a few seconds of swiping is sold! 1 sheet probably absorbs more than 30 sheets of paper towels, so it's more economical than one paper towel. I will be using these mats more often than I originally thought I would. I decided to try these oil absorbing rollers and bought a gray and white roller from the same brand and they worked so well! I only bought them to always have on hand in my house in case I need them and in fact the same day I bought them there was a small dirty spot on my bathroom floor (about 1 cup) ! I was going to use some paper towels or a bath towel, but then I remembered I have these rolls. I wasn't sure how many sheets to use so I decided to start with just 1 sheet of gray roller (grey absorbs everything, white doesn't absorb water) and that was more than enough! It sucked everything out in seconds leaving the floor dry. I would try as many paper towels, or if I was using a bath towel I would be working on washing the bath towel right now. But only 1 sheet was more than enough and the job became very easy and very clean.
