Review on WD Caviar Green 1.5TB SATA Intellipower Hard Drive with 32MB Cache (Bulk/OEM) for Desktop - WD15EADS by Jon Booth

A little over a month ago I bought 3 of these drives to install in my HP EX495 Mediasmart 1.5TB (Black) Home Server. So far they are doing quite well. These drives are very quiet. I have a server in my basement and when I'm working downstairs I can't even tell the server is running except for the light in the front. Caviar Green drives run 10-15 degrees cooler than the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB SATA 32MB Cache Bulk/OEM Hard Drive ST31500341AS that came with the unit, even when backed up. Idle about 80 degrees, maximum 95 degrees. I've seen Seagate up to 110 degrees. Yes, they're only 5400 RPM compared to Seagate, but for a server that just backs up computers around the house and streams music and videos, they're more than enough.
