Review on πŸ’¦ Powerful FREESEA Submersible Water Pump - Ideal for Pond Aquariums, Hydroponics, Fish Tank, Garden Fountain & Waterfall by Erik Richardson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent pump. Not automatically.

Pumps pretty well and is pretty quiet. Good pump for the money and form factor. A pump is required to remove water from the overflow pan. BUT, to clarify a few things, it is NOT an automatic shutoff in the sense that it will turn itself off when there is no more water. NO. It has a protection circuit that will turn off if it runs dry and gets hot. Most submersible pumps will burn out if they run dry, this one feels like it's going to burn out and stays put until it's cool enough to run again. Do not rely on the OFF function. Also, it won't pump anything unless it's submerged under the lower black portion of the pump. Water should be at least up to this level. It will pump until there is about 1/4 inch left in the pan, then you need to turn it off. Material This pump is paired with a cycle timer and I think it's a good deal for my needs.
