Review on Gevi One-Touch Pour Over Drip Coffee Maker: Advanced Features, Optimal Brew Temperature, and Sleek Stainless Steel Design by Ruth Reiners

Pour quality at an amazing price

I have had a Gevi coffee maker for about 10 months now. I've been rightly called a coffee snob. Most serious coffee drinkers will only use the manual method of brewing coffee. It produces the highest quality beverage compared to any other brewing method. If you don't want to bother with manual bottling, Gevi is the closest I've come to a perfect brew. Use the right amount of coffee and water (between 60 and 75 grams of coffee per 1 liter of water) and you will be very happy with the result. But it's getting better. With Gevi you can combine the best of both worlds (pour over and French press). To brew a perfect 12-ounce cup of coffee, add 350 mL (about 12 ounces) of water to the coffee maker's reservoir, place the filter in the cone, and add 21 to 26 grams of coffee, depending on how strong your coffee is. Place the cone back into the machine, close the valve by turning it to the anti-drip position and place the mug on the stove. Press the "Start" button and allow the water to pour just enough water over the beans to completely soak them (this is known as "coffee sprinkling"). Turn off the coffee maker and wait 30 seconds for the beans to release CO2. Restart Gevi and let it complete the brew cycle. At the end of the cycle, open the valve fully and let the perfectly brewed coffee fill your cup. The Gevi is the best, most versatile coffee maker I've ever used, and it does the same job as the $349 Moccamaster 53941, 1/5 the price. Treat yourself and buy this car. I guarantee you won't regret it.
