The band itself is much more comfortable than the one that comes with Fitbit. I replaced the elastic band on my Fitbit Inspire with an elastic band, and when I switched to the Charge 5 I immediately started looking for an elastic band to replace that pesky silicon strap. However, I have the problem that it is not flush connected to the device. At the crossroads there is a clear gap. Same problem with both tapes I received. When I changed it for the first time, the strap completely detached and the watch fell off. I managed to get it to click properly without loosening, but there's still this weird gap and it wobbles at the connection point instead of feeling secure. It also makes the band look cheap. There aren't many replacement options for the Charge 5 right now, so I'll continue to use these straps until other options become more available. UPDATE: After a few days of wearing, the strap keeps falling off now. No matter how many times you snap and press it, the wristband will not stay connected to the device. The watch keeps falling off my wrist to the point where it is unusable. Unfortunately I have to resort to the standard silicone strap which just ruins my wrist. It's a shame, because I really like the part of the chewing gum itself, but it will be sent back.
