Exactly what I needed. I switched from an air gap connection (smaller diameter) to a choke connection on a downpipe (larger diameter). The dishwasher hose was too small to fit on the stem. This adapter was the perfect solution. I just took the plastic nozzle that comes with the adapter and stuck it into the dishwasher hose. Use the smallest adapter clamp to secure the nipple in the hose. Take the middle clip and attach the adapter to the nipple. In my case I had to cut off two large diameters on the adapter to get the diameter I needed for the shank. Considering the end that the nipple fits into, there are four different sizes that will fit on the adapter. Use the last clamp to secure the shaft and solve the problem.
