Great lens for reportage work. It's light, fast and focuses quickly. The image quality is absolutely excellent and the images have a certain pop that is often found in more expensive lenses. Build quality leaves a lot to be desired, especially the manual focus ring, which is pretty crude for this price point. At least the manual focus ring can be turned easily so that you can focus on the grain with one finger. I would like the lens to be a bit smaller, but I suspect the size is necessary due to aperture and optics. I gave it one star for fit and finish, but optically you shouldn't have any qualms about choosing this lens.
