Review on Enhanced GM Original Equipment 214-1685 Vapor Canister Purge Valve with Attached Bracket by Kris Feezy

Perfect fit, easy to swap out.

My 2007 GMC Acadia had the check engine light come on and after checking the codes found it was 1 of 3 problems. First, I replaced the gas cap - the easiest and most inexpensive. I cleared the codes and drove for a while but the check engine light came on again. The second option is the flush valve. It took a bit of searching, but this is a very easy replacement. The plastic cover of the engine is torn off, then part of the "insulating carpet" must be pulled back at the top of the engine block. I removed the redirected air hose connecting the air cleaner to the engine (a pair of clamps) for better access. This module is fixed with 1 screw. I removed the bolt, then the UPPER hose on the valve cover. The lower connector is then disconnected from this module, then the module can be pulled out sideways to facilitate the release of the 2nd connector. valve cover. The bottom hose snaps back into place, then a mounting screw. Replace the air hose and start the car. Once you're sure it's working properly, clear the codes and reattach the plastic cover to the engine block. Sounds like a lot of steps but everything is accessible from the top and I was done in about 15-20 minutes.
