Review on Corsair iCUE NEXUS Companion Touch Screen: Enhanced Control with 6 Macro Buttons & Live System Readouts by Walter Martin

A screen like this shouldn't cost nearly that much.

If the device is intended primarily as an accessory for your keyboard, I think everything is fine in that regard. It can run macros that you set up in icue. If you're familiar, this can do anything your keyboard can. Now let's say you have one of the three keyboards to mount this device to, this mount *sticks* to the back of your keyboard and you forego the USB pass-through port on your keyboard. for the screen (and no, you can't put regular USB connectors through the mount. That connector is useless now). The setup isn't too bad (apart from lots of Photoshop to get the images right size for this thing, *640x48*). comes with a pretty good stand and a USB extender to connect to your desk. However, this placement reveals a fatal flaw in this device. The actual screen. Not only do the frames take up more face area than the screen itself, but the viewing angles of the screen are just awful. We may be talking about a 15° viewing window, you can see the colors distorting from one eye to the other without even moving! It breaks down the overall feel of the device to nothing more than a gimmick because I just can't read anything without being quite right on it. But ok, I have a keyboard that goes with it. I created and tested a screen layout for the game. Any compressive force on the screen presses down on the display and noticeably distorts the screen, like your monitor does if you press on it too hard, but the entire screen and with little to no pressure. In addition, the keys hardly register. In order for them to work properly, you need to put in so little effort that it requires a conscious effort and isn't really suited to Marco buttons. Displays a generic Corsair logo GIF when not connected to a running copy of Windows 10 iCUE. This includes running before login, and it will return to this GIF if you lock your computer (lock screen breaks this link, but this applies to all of Corsair's RGB components as well). $100 price tag. It's not worth it now, boss.
