The cooling pad is stylish and reliable, but has one major drawback. No fan speed or on/off control. This means you have to turn it off if you don't want it, and the cable is very flimsy and cheap. It's designed to fail. The first thing that fails is this cable because you have to plug and unplug it to turn it on and off. I have a feeling it was intentionally designed that way. Also USB 3.0 is not a pass-through and an additional output. upset
