Perfect for my needs but may not meet all expectations!

This mirror is perfect for my needs. However, it cannot meet all expectations. It's not a glaring bright light, but I managed it. I don't need a really bright light as I have a light bar with (6) 40w bulbs over my bathroom vanity. It probably wouldn't be bright enough if the room didn't already have a good light source. It's not a bright white light that would be useful for applying eye makeup. This is a warm, non-glare light that is not painful to the eyes to look at, which is what I wanted. Another reviewer stated that they replaced the bulbs with brighter LED bulbs, which worked for them. I just needed some extra light with magnification to pluck my eyebrows. I am 62 years old, have early cataracts and increasing myopia. Brighter light would be too bright for my eyes and give me a headache. I used a large square folding mirror that was bulky and unattractive so I kept it under the counter. It was inconvenient to take out and adjust every time I needed to use it. It's an attractive mirror that I can leave on the counter. The bronze color matches my bathroom decor. It's quite tall, which means I can stand at the counter and not have to bend over a mirror to pluck my eyebrows. Basically I am very satisfied with the mirror. This is exactly what I wanted and needed. I'm glad I read the previous positive and negative reviews as they helped me determine that this lighted mirror would suit me best. Most of the negative feedback was about the brightness of the light, which I didn't care as I wanted a warmer and less harsh light. I'm glad I took the plunge and ordered this mirror. It was also sold "used like new" and was a great bargain. I always buy used items from stock when they are available. Out of about 50 used items I've bought over the past 8 years, I've only had to return 3 or 4 items that were unusable due to overlooked damage. Revain has a very convenient returns process, which I don't think is impractical at all. From my point of view it is a lot to bet on a used item. I could afford to pay for a new item, but I see no reason to pay full price for something I can get at a bargain price. Most items appeared like new, although their condition was described as less than "like new". I think most of the items were only returned because the buyers didn't like the item and it can't be sold as new once it's returned, but it's practically still new. If it is damaged, I can always return it and re-order a new item!

Pros
  • Stylish border: This 16.5 x 21.6 cm oval mirror with a stylish polished chrome finish complements any decor. The on/off switch is conveniently located on the 5-foot cord. The reflection will be distorted or inverted if not within 6 inches of the mirror.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
