The Columbia Omni fabric line is thin, comfortable and cool. There are several versions, some with more features than others. This shirt has 3 functions: 1 - Omni-Freeze Zero - sweat "activates" small dots on the inside of the shirt, making you cooler; In our experience it has little effect2 - Omni-Wick - wicks sweat away from the skin; there are many shirts out there that do so no big deal3 - Omni-Shade - sun protection UPF 30 This is not the best sun protection shirt in Colombia. Some shirts have an omni-shade solar reflector with many small reflective dots on the outside of the fabric that reflect sunlight to keep you cool. Also, some Columbia sun shirts offer UPF 50 instead of 30. My top pick is Columbia's Solar Chill, but I really like this shirt too. But that's JustMe.
