Good product, buy with confidence. Requires installation. Plugs into the wall (does not run on batteries). Supplied with all necessary hardware for installation. PROS is fairly bright (you can use it to read a book halfway across the room!), easy to install, quality construction; real metallic flickering, unwanted dimming, etc. by light sources strong but flexible cable, easy to turn on and off, long cable length, CONSlight has only one brightness setting and it is very bright, the light temperature is very white, which is annoying when trying to sleep in bed reading on night filters should come with amber filters to put upside down for warmer light at night (just have to make my own)
