NOTE 1: NOT FOR TACOMA WITH JBL AUDIO - You don't want a mess with the sound upgrade. Installation on a 3rd Gen Tacoma WITHOUT JBL SYSTEM takes less than an hour and is 100% plug and play. The screw holes are identical and the electrical connector perfectly matches the Toyota connector. The only tools needed are a small plastic pry bar, a 10mm spanner and a 10mm socket. There is a small latch to push the connector down and the connector slides out instantly. Factory tweeters do their job, but without much enthusiasm, like never before, really lifeless. Those Subaru/Kickers (they actually have a little K badge on the tweeter grille) really add some power and punch to the sound. They seem to play a little louder than the factory parts, so the soundstage in the truck is shifted up and the music in the doors isn't as loud. Vocals are cleaner and brighter, and the overall tone is more detailed, with more air or overdrive headroom. Great and very easy upgrade, well worth it. Enjoy!
