Wow I was surprised by this little speaker! The tonal range and volume sounds better than the system I have in my car. I would imagine a pair, two or four of these paired with a car system would be awesome. I use mine in conjunction with my home VHF scanner "base station" to hear nearly 30 feet and through the wall in my shop. I haven't noticed how long the batteries last but I think it will be at least 2-3 hours or more. I run mine off a regular 5V cell phone charger. I liked it so much that I bought a second one and I think more purchases will follow soon. This speaker measures just 3" x 4" but its sound rivals that of 8-inch speakers. In my opinion it is worth the money and definitely deserves 5 stars.
