Ease of use, installation and affordability
Installation was as easy as plugging it in. Windows will recognize it as a keyboard input device and you can start scanning right away. I've found that this basically only works one way. I could get it to scan in the opposite direction with mixed results or just get half the data. I would also like a rubber base to keep it in place as in my application I didn't want it to be permanently fixed. You can easily add Velcro or double-sided tape. While it didn't work for my intended use, it worked as advertised so I can't turn it down for what it was made for. Should be suitable for a POS terminal or any card reader application.
