DO NOT buy this vinyl! Buy VViViD or Avery instead.

I wrapped my car with this stuff. I used to wrap the interior trim in vinyl and it seemed easy enough. I wanted some YouTube videos and it looked like I could record it. I made a fender first to make sure I liked the color and this fender was easy enough to install. I then ordered a large roll and at that moment I really wish I had turned around and ordered a different brand. Instead I went with my original choice and covered the whole car with it. After doing about half of the car I realized that this is the worst choice for a vinyl wrap for a car. From a distance the car looks great. But up close I'm NOT happy with how it looks. The surface has a lot of haze and imperfections and I understand this is common with 3M films. It's hard to capture on camera, but I tried to get a close-up. This package is also probably the worst to use compared to Avery and VViViD. If you move the packaging at all, you will get visible adhesive strips. It is also very easy to tear the foil if not heated enough. I tore my roof sheeting 3 times trying to stretch it. Heating the film to the correct temperature is critical when working with this material. If you are thinking of wrapping your car and are looking at this wrap I would suggest you check out CK Wraps on Youtube. He has a lot of great videos and I learned a lot from him compared to the other channels. Also look for other packaging brands instead of this material. Based on my research, VViViD and Avery seem to be the most popular with people. don't know what i'm doing. Yes, a professional can achieve good results with any material. But it's also true that some products are simply better than others. I'm not just telling you this shell sucks because this is my first time installing it and I'm not good at it. I am telling you this based on a lot of research I have done to confirm this. Do your own research if you don't believe me. Don't assume that a 3M film will be good based on the general reputation of the 3M brand like I did. Since I made a mistake with this wrapper, I did quite a bit of research and found that the Avery or VViViD wrappers seem to be the best. the preferred choice for easy installation and good results. I just assumed 3M would have good quality based on all of their other products I've used. This is definitely not the case and I feel this is an inferior product in many ways. I will probably wrap other cars in the future and maybe even repeat wrapping my car. I'll probably go with VViViD next time.

Pros
  • Vinyl wrap and accessories
Cons
