Choose a replacement using the forwarding method. 1/2 hour. Use a 10mm socket and 1/4 ratchet to remove the 2 hex/phillips sockets securing the top cover. The dryer does not need to be removed from the back wall. Slide back the top cover. Slide back the front cover. Remove. Remove the front panel with controls. You don't have to disconnect. Remove the small Phillips screws. A few more as described on YTube. Remove the bottom panel along with the door. Open the cap. A notice. Draw a circle around the screw heads with a felt-tip pen. The reason for this is that many holes are not used. To speed up assembly. Remove the bracket securing the heater housing. 3 screws. Pull out the heater housing. Take it out of the dryer through the front opening. Remove the two thermostats. 4 screws. Separate the torso. 7 screws. Take a closer look. Note the break in the resistance wire of the twisted coil. Or use an ohmmeter. Not mandatory. If a break in the Kerley resistance wire is the cause of the lack of heat! Ordered this nifty replacement. Also cleaned the fan blades. The 4 screws unscrewed, metal stamping. I also removed the filter holder assembly. Washed two pieces. Reinstalled .cleaned the humidity sensor. Reattach the brackets to the sides of the heater housing with thermostats, two screws per thermostat plate. Attach the red/blue wires to the strips on the insulated block. insert into the case, insert into the metal frame. Install 3 screws. The rest is reversed as in disassembly. Did.
