The problem with my machine was that it ran jerkily. Hopefully just a defective plug or plug cable - but which one? If I'm lucky this will be the last one I check if it was done the old fashioned way with Guess and Gosh. But I have AL539 and he told me right away. Shit don't like it!? They fixed it right away and had no bruises or bloody hands. What I don't like is that the guide is one of the worst guides I've ever seen. I know manuals because as a designer I had to write them a lot, and they have to be written for users who don't know anything and want to know as little as possible, but still get their work done. The manual was incredibly difficult to read, just as boring, and had a relatively useless index, so I finally gave up. I then downloaded the online version to make sure it was up to date. Why? Because with the e-manual, I can automatically search for the information I need and skip all the Mickey Mouse ramblings in the paper manual. One more thing. I read in some materials that came with the tester that I should update it immediately before using it. So I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what it is. Is the update on the hard drive or does it need to be downloaded? Eventually he gave in and called the factory and asked to speak to someone. There is someone and this person said that the tester has not changed for a very long time and there is no reason to update it - just use it. Then why all these things saying I should update it? Yes, and one more thing. The tool is pretty cool because you can customize it for different languages. But in this block there is a menu item that gets stuck when communicating only in Spanish. Nothing I've tried will change that. If I knew what it said I'd tell you, but...
