****Edit. My 15 month old has now figured out how to open this gate even with the twist lock on. If you have smart kids, look for other goals. Now I'm trying to figure out how to protect my three gates from children so they stay closed. Excellent goal. I had a two year old that was attached to this thing and it wouldn't budge. Adults couldn't even figure out how to open it. At first I didn't even know how to open it. I have three of these gates throughout the house. They are very easy to open with one hand while juggling as a kid, the auto close is great knowing it's closed and they can be latched for extra security. I can open them in both directions and they stay open when the gate is opened more than 90°. They are easy to install and will not damage walls if you are a renter. No need to screw them into the wall if you don't. The cat will not be able to get through the bars. So if you have one, make sure it can get around or still jump. I also have a husky and this keeps him away from places I don't need. All around are great gates. I recommend them if you are looking for a baby gate or a gate to keep pets out.
