Excellent quality. Once you have assembled it. Watch the assembly video.

I received this scope for free in exchange for an honest review and here it is. This telescope came in many parts and was quite intimidating. It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't a guide to doing it. In fact, very little is written there. Just a big picture map showing the building steps. While everything was pretty much there, it was still seriously lacking in any other explanation, should you need one. Your success in bringing it all together depends on your experience in these matters. For me, a longtime toy maker and such a late dawn on Christmas Eve, I've done my job. Your mileage may vary. In any case, there is a very useful video on the Internet with a much more detailed guide on how to assemble this very model. I linked it in a comment to this review. (Sometimes Revain has a way to remove web links in its reviews, but they come through the comments). Once I did that, it was great to get used to it and learn how to really get the most out of it. There are three lenses with different magnifications, and all are much more powerful than any pair of binoculars. While this one is really intended for observing the stars and planets, it can be used on land to view ships at sea, birds and wildlife out of sight, distant mountain peaks and/or any other location that requires high magnification of the right way is . We took it to shore and the ships on the distant horizon were in perfect view, as were the seals in the bay. As for the skies, we've had great weather here lately. Noticeably cool, still cold at night. There's no better time for stargazing than on clear, cold nights when there's no fog or humidity. Getting used to using this and all of its controls, lenses, etc is really a matter of just becoming familiar with them. And getting used to moving the telescope when aiming at a distant star, planet, etc. This is where good control over it comes in handy when a small movement of yours can travel thousands of miles in space. This makes things easier once you get used to it. What a miracle he is using this and I look forward to many years of use of this product. I haven't seen the moon through anything like this since I was a kid. And it really seems to be bringing it right into your backyard. In my opinion the construction is excellent, the lenses on it are excellent and the controls are very user friendly. All in all a great telescope that I highly recommend. Footnote: Don't forget to look for a link to this great video on how to build this telescope in the comments section.
