BAFX3370 has been in use for just over 6 months. Have used it several times to measure the sound around the external coil of the air conditioner. The readings seemed reasonable around 70 dBA. Recently tested the unit indoors in quiet rooms and got readings in the 80's and 90's. Which, according to readily available environmental noise level lists, cannot be true. After reading the reviews more closely, I learned that there are phone apps that can measure sound levels - using a pair of these readings for quiet places/rooms is more in line with published tables. I looked through the BAFX3370 user manual and saw that a calibration device is required to recalibrate this sound level meter. Very disappointed that the BAFX3370 will need to be recalibrated so soon and don't want to spend more on a calibrator when the BAFX3370 seems so unstable.
