First time using Bobbi Brown Toner. Toners are used either to restore pH balance or to prepare before makeup application or to penetrate the skin with glycolic acid to even tone and unclog pores. I've been using DDF Glycolic Tonic for many years and love it. But after the big jump in price, I thought, let me try something else. I have no complaints about Bobbi Brown Tonic. It cools, refreshes and aims to restore pH so you can't go wrong. It has no sharpness. I use it in the morning as a pre-makeup. It's nice. But still, I'm used to getting an upbeat β and welcome β wake-up call from DDF. It's not a sharp toner by any means - at least not for me. But I'm used to glycolic tonics and the astringent feeling they cause. If you have very sensitive skin, I recommend the Bobbi Brown Toner. It will soothe and restore. If you're more concerned that your toner is a workhorse and you can tolerate glycolic acid, I would go that route - and there are other glycolic tonics besides DDF. One final note: Toner is just one part of your overall skincare routine, along with cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing. When you find all four that best suit your skin type, you'll glow!
