Test of my Samsung 960 EVO 1TB (Samsung Magician 5.2.1): BEFORE: 39°C idle, 59°C gaming INSTALLATION: 37°C idle, 52°C gaming load RESULT: Lower load temperature around 7'C. Meaning: mixed. Shouldn't cost more than 10€, since the temperatures only drop by 6-9°C under load. Recommendation: For Samsung EVO owners, I recommend gently removing the top warranty sticker with tweezers or a similar tool to ensure the best heat transfer. I liked: - Simple, easy-to-open cardboard box - Sealed anti-static zip-lock bags for both the heatsink (HS) and a separate bag for the cans/zippers - HS quality What I didn't like: - Instructions suck! A sheet of black and white paper measuring 5 inches by 7 inches. Can't figure out what the instructions with "(3): Place a silica gel pad on the front of the M.2" mean. There is a "blue" side and a "all white" side with no indication of which side is which. Searched the WWW to find the attached image showing the blue side is the gel side.
