Helps cool my NVME PCIe SSD

This product was quite easy to use and well made. It complements my motherboard very well! To install it I cleaned my WD Black NVME SSD and inserted it into the heatsink bracket with the thermal pad on one side and then clamped on top. My temperature has never risen above 41 degrees Celsius since installation. My case is also optimized for high airflow as I have a Cooler Master HAF 932 with 200mm Noctua case fans. These fans, as well as the heatsink, kept my drive from overheating. One final…

Poor design, avoid at all costs

I bought this to use with one of the new Sabrent PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives. It's a good idea to wrap the drive top and bottom and not use rubber bands to hold the heatsink in place. The top and bottom are poorly made and don't fit well together even when there's no disc inserted. And the design doesn't account for the thickness of the two thermal pads that need to be attached - even with a thermal pad installed (on the underside of the disc) you can't fully match the parts. I'm having a hard time…

Improve M.2 performance under heavy load! (v1 was great, v2 was bad)

UPDATE: The design has changed. The new bottom metal plate design is very bad. rating down. Many of the photos, reviews, and product Q&A refer to the original design. This item with clips and ties is no longer available. I ordered a second one expecting the same product but got the worst version v2. Overall, we see a temperature drop of about 20 degrees in the server tower. Not compatible with many M.2 laptop slots, check if you have enough space. On my X11DAi3-N, this heatsink cannot be…

Not active enough under load.

I bought two Samsung 970 EVO Plus and two such radiators at once.1) The radiator that is close to the motherboard does not fit. Luckily, the motherboard had a well-functioning cap heatsink. 2) Install it in a vertical position. The large case fan blows directly above it, so I think the wind blowing heat away from the fins will be enough to cool it down. 3) In normal use, both discs will remain within a few degrees of each other. 4) I transferred 500GB from my Documents folder from the…

So, I recently got a Dell Inspiron 5570 with a 15.6 inch (diagonal) screen, 1920 x 1080 resolution, i7-8550U (1.8 GHz to 4.0 GHz , 4 cores, hyperthreading, turbo and low power consumption) , CD/DVD+-R/W, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SATA HDD, 4 GB Race n Graphics and installed Win 10 Pro. I mention the laptop specs in case other potential buyers want to compare this NVMe SSD to their own computers As fast as this laptop was already straight from Dell, the HDD just slowed it down. I knew I could replace the…

Tests and reviews

Test of my Samsung 960 EVO 1TB (Samsung Magician 5.2.1): BEFORE: 39°C idle, 59°C gaming INSTALLATION: 37°C idle, 52°C gaming load RESULT: Lower load temperature around 7'C. Meaning: mixed. Shouldn't cost more than 10€, since the temperatures only drop by 6-9°C under load. Recommendation: For Samsung EVO owners, I recommend gently removing the top warranty sticker with tweezers or a similar tool to ensure the best heat transfer. I liked: - Simple, easy-to-open cardboard box - Sealed anti-static…

Works well in Alienware 17 R4

My Alienware 17 R4 has a very fast SSD, but the drive's temperature can reach over 80C during long multiplayer games. After installing this cooler, the temperature stayed below 70 degrees, which is a significant drop. I recommend trying it out if like me you experience high temperatures, it works well. In my particular laptop, the heatsink fits as you can see in the attached image. However, it protrudes a little, about 2 mm. I can still close the back cover normally, but the heatsink touches…

Reduced a bit, but not enough

So, for starters, I'm using the Termaltake P3 Core case. This is an open-air case, so no air is blown onto this heatsink. I bought it so I don't have to use that on my MSI MEG Z390 board. I currently have a 970 Evo Plus 1TB NVMe drive installed. The temperature is 47 to 49 degrees when idling and around 60 degrees under load. My old charge temp was in the mid to high 70s, so maybe it lowered it by 10 degrees, but not where I was hoping. I would say it is very easy to install, had no problems at
