Don't buy this junk if you plan to hit 1GB speed. The cable is bad. At 50 feet, the Netgear-managed switch utility complains of a cable failure. Because of this, you will never reach speeds of 1 gigabyte. This garbage says it's Cat7 but probably not even good Cat6. I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out why this isn't working and giving a gigabyte speed and after so many tries than using the netgear utility. This has been confirmed as a cable fault. I used a different cable, all ok. In general, if you are planning to buy 50 foot network cables, make sure they are of very high quality from reputable brands, as gigabyte speeds are an issue due to their length.
