My wife and I are very happy with this colander. We bought the 4 inch penne and rigatoni version in a similar sized pot. It was exactly what was needed. No more pouring water down the sink with a colander in hand etc. Much safer and easier of course. Ours was $8 and well worth it. That. Easily supports the weight of noodles. Durable along the handle. Does a great job getting the meatballs out of the sauce. No creases or creases. The basket itself was 1 1/4 inches deep at its deepest point. The handle itself was 9 inches long.
