I have a new betta tank and it is 3 gallons. I noticed that the nitrites were off the charts and I did 25% water changes daily but they still didn't go down. So I ordered this stone (I only put one in my tank, left the other one) and two days later my nitrite levels are zero. It's been almost a week since they first napped, so I'm not sure if it's solely due to the rocks, water changes, time, or a combination of these factors. In any case, I'm glad the nitrites are at zero and my dick is a happy boy.
