I first tried the center flap pocket for extra storage but it's too big for my needs. This one is perfect for my extension cord, 6" HDMI cable, laptop charger, laptop travel dock, smartwatch charger, phone charger, and flash drive with a few straps left. And without a middle valve, it can be squeezed a bit in my already filled computer travel bag. I'll see how it holds up over time but as of purchase it seems well made and just what I need.
