Review on Stay Comfortable and Stylish with People Footwear Unisex Slipper in White by Charles Parente

Great style, comfortable but maybe a bit off. (Note the size!)

I got them from Vine thinking they would be good shoes for going to the pool this summer and I think they would be excellent for that purpose! Here's what I like so far (I wear them around the house to break them). 1. Style: To me they have GREAT style. I was concerned that they might look cheap in person (because they are essentially made from Crocs material), but they look GREAT due to the beautiful Huarache-inspired design and tasteful detailing. Very sleek/streamlined. I think you could wear them in a fairly "upscale" situation (like crisp buttons tucked into light-colored, pressed pants that go pretty high to the ankle) and not feel ridiculous at all. 2. Comfort: It is very comfortable. They are VERY easy to put on due to the wide opening and low cut. The underfoot foam provides support as you would expect from a sandal but is also very forgiving and soft for comfort. There doesn't seem to be any pressure or irritation points. Not much support obviously as they certainly look like sandals. There are a couple of things I'm a little less worried about: 1. Breathability: there are some breathing holes on the sides and the back cutout is very low and airy, but there isn't much airflow in the toe box which can lead to sweaty feet . I wish there was a little more airflow up front.2. SIZE: Difficult to find the right size as there are no half sizes. Should you go up or down if you're a half size? I usually wear a solid 10.5 so wasn't sure. After reading another review that they were large, I opted for a smaller one, at 10. I think it was the right choice BUT it's quite comfortable - I could NEVER wear socks, just barefoot. I wouldn't say they're really big or small either - that's probably a pretty true 10. I'm hoping they pack/break a bit and are just right, which is certainly possible. Even though they're snug, they're still comfortable. but probably sweatier. I think if I had 11 they would slip and cause blisters etc. Cost: They're essentially Crocs, but with much better styling, so I'm not sure how good they are at $50. I expected to pay a maximum of $40. but maybe that's just the price of better style! Overall I LOVE these shoes. I think they offer a lot of style and versatility for barefoot summer wear. I just wish they were half the size and wish they were a little cheaper. If they were I would even consider getting myself a pair of shoes - I love them so much! Featured!

Pros
  • Lightweight and breathable materials used in construction provide maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
Cons
  • The sole of the shoe may not provide enough traction, resulting in slips and falls on slippery surfaces.
