I do not understand how the same device works without problems on Windows XP and does not work on Windows 7. I tried to install different drivers in different ways. I read the recommendations of the manufacturer, "advanced" users. Even when the driver from Realtek was finally installed, the adapter did not deign to work (error code 43 - "the device is disabled because it reported problems" or something like that). Time wasted unmeasuredly, and the result is zero. Of course, there may be some problems with the Windows 7 installed on my computer (viruses, etc.), but why do all other devices install and work fine? The desire to contact TP-Link products has disappeared forever.
