I bought this for my HTC Aria "smart" phone (actually just "above average") and it still works. Government networks, didn't cause an attack by aliens from outer space, and in fact it didn't cause any problems with my little phone (like slowing it further than it already crawls, or causing "more" freezes than it already was). This MicroSD looks like a "genuine item" and I am at "SUCH" a consumer level when buying something like this that I would look elsewhere for advice on its speed and camera compatibility. etc. All I know is that I replaced the 8GB microSD with this one and now I can store my entire MP3 collection right on my phone without having to 'stream'. If you are an Aria owner (or maybe some other phone owners experience this as well), you can just download an Android app called "Gemini" and move all downloaded apps to a MicroSD card to free up tons of storage space on your phone and to maximize its "potential" in terms of space. IMHO this feature should be automatic since Android 2.2 and especially. newer firmware updates, but hey. It's not an iPhone, is it? In any case, lots of storage space compared to smaller devices and space to download many more apps (when using a good app like "Gemini"). I even had room to move about 10 of my favorite South Park classics from my DVD collection to my phone (I used a different software package to convert them), and there's still room for more. Heck, 32GB is enough to run Windows 7 at least. once, so you must understand that this may be enough for you. If not, then you might need to buy cloud storage space from MIT or something similar.
