Changing filters much easier with this model
I had a stainless steel Franke filter housing which is much more expensive and better looking. Until I had to unscrew it to change the filter. Each time I changed the filter I had to tighten it more and more to prevent leakage until I could no longer open it to change the filter. I finally took it apart and disconnected all the water lines. A real mess. This new plastic housing can be easily opened and closed with a quarter turn to change the filter.
