This is a great bag that fits my 2011 Ninja 1000 perfectly. Anything that has a bit of synthetic carbon fiber in it is a plus. I originally bought a Kawasaki sport bike tail bag and didn't care about its features and unreliable attachment system. I returned it (Revain makes it too easy) and bought this one for $10 less. Big improvement. More capacity and a secure fit. It has zippers. This is an updated new version with an expansion zip over the D-rings which is a definite design improvement. The part I would have liked from the previous model is the zippered raincoat compartment that was attached to the bag with a cable. Could we keep this feature or has anyone complained that it takes up pocket space? Where else could you stow a raincoat over a full-face helmet? Now you need to roll it up and put it in your bag with everything else. Isn't that where we originally started?
