As for the coffee maker, I have a very basic Starbucks Barista espresso machine. I soaked the espresso maker and set spoon in a solution of water and this detergent and it all came out incredibly clean (see one of my photos). I understand you shouldn't run this stuff *through* a basic espresso machine like mine, so I use a separate descaler for this Cleancaf home coffee and espresso machine cleaner, 3 packs (0 each) 0.33 oz each ). I also accidentally got a photo that illustrates how powerful this thing is: I noticed that my coffee mug to go looked a bit dirty on the bottom, so I filled the mug about 1/3 full with hot water and half a teaspoon put in or by this cleaner. I left it for a few minutes and rinsed it off. This is one of my photos - to my surprise, I didn't even realize that the entire inside of my mug was stained! That's why you see shiny shiny metal at the bottom and now clearly colored nasty metal at the top. I repeated the process but filled the cup to the brim and voila, the cup looked brand new and my coffee tasted better afterwards. This is the last picture. I will now regularly wash my cups and thermos with this detergent because it is so strong. As for "special paraphernalia": I won't be posting pictures, but here in Colorado you can ingest a new legal substance through various glass (or other material) paraphernalia. These attributes can be notoriously dirty and impossible to clean - UNTIL NOW. Simply immerse the accessory in a solution of this product diluted with hot water and wait about 20 minutes. ALL foreign objects simply slide out of the device - perhaps with a little push. Seriously, no more detergents or pipe cleaners are needed. A warning: I don't know if this product removes paint from glass, so you might want to test it on something first. Of course, there shouldn't be any color on a quality hand-blown glass device, so you're probably good to go. I think one container is enough for a long time.
