DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - IT IS DANGEROUS!

I installed this product on my 2011 Corvette in May 2018. In January 2019, just 9 months later, IT HAPPENED AND I SHOT IN MY CAR IN THE GARAGE! THIS PRODUCT IS DANGEROUS! The doors are powered by Vettes. In the event of a complete power failure, they cannot be opened, there is no manual control. I slammed on the brakes, tried to honk the horn, pushed a few other switches that should turn the power back on, DID NOT! I am VERY LUCKY, I have a habit of leaving my windows open when I park my car in the garage and managed to get out through the driver's side window. I'm also VERY lucky that this happened in my garage with my tools on hand. I disconnected the terminals first and washed them and the battery terminals with a baking soda/water solution to remove any corrosion to see if that was the problem. . It's not like this. I then disconnected the "battery protector" and reconnected the car's positive terminal to the battery and the car started right away! If my windows weren't open I would be trapped in my car and if I did I would have to call the fire brigade or the police to get me out! If I didn't have a cell phone and my windows were closed I would be stuck in a car in the garage until someone found me unless I broke the window to escape. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Pros
  • Automatic reconnection - just step on the brake pedal or turn on the light switch, any slight load change and the car starts. There is no button to push or lift the hood.
Cons
  • Clarity
