For the last year I've been trying to find a decent compostable straw. This cane straw is by far the best! Let's start with the fact that it sticks - that's a big problem as wet straws are gross. I no longer need paper straws. The clear compostable straws hold up well but look like plastic. So when I put them in the compost bin, I'm not sure if they're treated (by the city) since they're not labeled as compostable. Even if I throw away the clear straws, they'll break in a landfill after a few years. I don't want any of my straws to stay on the ground any longer than me! These cane straws look different. They will never be mistaken for a plastic straw. You are strong. I've never had a single break in my cocktail. They're easy to drink in a thick cocktail without being huge. I couldn't drink a smoothie out of plain paper or clear straws. Clear straws sell great cocktail straws, but they are so big I feel like a little kid drinking through them. To wrap up this review, cane straws are spot on!
