Great blanket for spring/summer or when you're warm/hot but still want a cover. I hate sleeping without something covering me, and a sheet doesn't have the weight of a blanket. This is a very thin and light, but substantial-feeling (doesn't feel like it will tear despite the thinness) blanket. The 90 X 108-size rolls up into a relatively small, messy (the slippery nature of the fabric means the folds don't really stay in very well) bundle that you could easily travel with. It feels cool, silky, and slippery to the touch, enough that the blanket might slip off/around you while you're sleeping if you move in the slightest. That "cool" feeling (from the shiny side) is most prominent when you first get under it and remains for a while, but you will eventually norm to it and feel warmer. Still, it is a very nice texture/feeling for those of us who sleep hot and are always trying to find the cool spot on the pillow, blanket, or bed. As others reported, if you have any snags on your skin or hangnails, they can feel rough or pull a bit on the fabric, which may bother some people.The real issue, however, is the care. I'm glad you can machine wash it but the instructions are very clear that you shouldn't dry it in the machine. Hanging a giant blanket in my shower for a couple days to dry is not the way I prefer to do laundry. This issue is well-disclosed, but it's a total PITA. In the end, my son and I will probably fight over this blanket in the summer and I will have to suck it up and give up my bathroom every so often, or hang a dedicated line in the backyard.
