This has finally helped us to do what we have been trying to do for a long time. Switches the camera from landscape to portrait mode quickly and easily. Our tripod forced us to mount the camera where we couldn't use the tilt function because we always had to mount it sideways. I needed something that would allow me to continue using the Arca-Swiss mounts but rotate the camera 90 degrees horizontally. We were able to attach it to a spare mounting plate and had that option. In combination with the L-bracket firmly attached to the camera, we can switch between landscape and portrait format quickly and easily. The only complaint I have is that the clamp bolt, along with the tension plate and springs, will fall off immediately if you back it out too far. There must be a built-in way to prevent this. It would also be nice if the bracket came with a wrench to easily tighten the two mounting screws. The supplied hex wrench does not help.
