Although it is difficult to tell from the picture, this is an official Microsoft Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable. You need this if you want to output to a PC monitor. Your monitor must support VGA input, so look behind you (it probably does). I tried a cheap fake cable and it didn't work so you need an official cable. PLEASE NOTE: The VGA part connects to your monitor. and gives you picture, but you will most likely need an RCA to stereo adapter to get sound. Use this adapter (for white and red plugs) to connect speakers. You can buy them cheaply online or from RadioShack. I bought mine from RadioShack and it's called a "Y-Adaptor" with the following description: 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo plug to two RCA plugs. The setup just described worked great.
