Review on PDP Gaming Wired Controller: Phantasm Red - Xbox One | The Ultimate Gaming Experience by Joshua Douglas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality and great price. Take it.

- 8ft cord, long enough for me. Anything over 7 is allowed. It's not wireless, keep that in mind. You don't need a wireless controller for your PC anyway, but for xbone games I can see why you need a wireless controller. (Microsoft still can't get its wireless controllers to work well on their own PC OS. So avoid that dream for now if you're not tech savvy. It's literally plug and play on PC. Steam works immediately with it. ) - buttons work great. If you don't have it, send it back and order a new one. I guarantee it's just bad luck. The packaging is too good to assume the company cares about quality and mine arrived in perfect condition. As for the analog sticks, they work great. No dead zones, no immunity zones, not too big and not too small (although this is a preference). Tip: If your rubber peels off (I don't), you can buy rubber covers for all your controllers! I would recommend looking at these instead of buying a new controller. I used them on my old Xbox 360 sticks and they worked great. I've literally only tried them on this controller and they fit perfectly too, which means if my rubber wears out, no big deal! Just slip them over these and they work just as well. They are good in my hands. Feels like the thin Xbox 360 controllers I loved so much. I believe the official Xbone controllers are slightly larger. I prefer the size, to be honest. But I'm just used to smaller controllers, so it's more of a personal thing that I like. Plastic isn't that cheap, but you can tell that if you break it a few dozen times, it probably won't last long. If you're violent, take it out on something else. This controller probably won't survive your hateful death rage in dark souls. But then again, it's only $17. You can buy almost three of these for the price of an official Xbone controller. Which makes it a more economical device when you think about it. :) Favorite part? My old 360 controllers, which I used exclusively for PC gaming, had broken cables. It is difficult to prevent the wires from bending naturally due to gravity alone. Unfortunately, this meant the entire controller was doomed unless I invested in repairing the cable (hardly economical. Not worth my time and money). However, this cable is detachable, so you can just buy a new cable from Gamestop for $7-9, depending. So as long as you keep the controller itself functional, feel free to do with the cable as you see fit as you can easily replace it. The wire is not that thin. I've seen a few people claim that this is the case, which put me off (and ended up buying terrible controllers from Revain before trying this one instead). I don't know what wires they are used to. These seem strong enough. If you need more strength, use the inside of a ballpoint pen to reinforce it or stick it over it. There are ways to increase the bends in the wire if you ever get any. However, since you can detach the cable from the controller, storing it safely should be easier and ultimately your cable should last longer. But then again, the cables seem fine. These reviews are serious fake news ;) Highly recommended. Having bought and returned many other controllers, I will not be returning this one. And if it breaks, I'll gladly buy it again. Why spend more than $50 when you can spend 19 including taxes? Also, the color is really cool :) It's a pleasure to play with. If my review leads you to buy this controller, I hope yours is in as good condition as mine. I'm not easy to please either, I've returned two controllers in the last month. This one impressed me. All the best.
