Battery life is much less than advertised

This laptop works for the most part, but the battery life on a fully charged battery right out of the box is around 4 hours. A laptop isn't very useful if you have to carry a charger with you everywhere. There's a battery life setting for more battery life, or more power as well as brightness, but even on the lowest settings it falls far short of advertised battery life.
