All parts were present as described. I'm not sure the purpose of the o-rings because I've never seen them on a water bag. I replaced the bite valve and rubber mouthpiece on a 2 liter platypus bladder. Inserting the bite valve into the hose wasn't an easy task, but it fits snugly as everything comes out - rest assured, it won't come out unless I mean it. The blue mouthpiece slipped open fairly easily after a few tries. At first I couldn't get the liquid, but then I realized that if I bite down on the mouthpiece a little harder, it opens the gap and my water/coconut water mixture flows! Very happy with this product so far! I gave it 4 stars because I was struggling more than ever to get a bite into the house; was a bit user friendly but does what I intended.
