I wear my hair in a high ponytail and the hole in the back of my head is useless. I know how to sew - so I cut the back all the way to the top of the hat to allow my hair to go through. It was a process, but it was worth it. Not sure how long it will last hand sewn but other than that it's a lightweight, very comfortable and cute hat. Big fields, big enough for good coverage without looking like a clown. If the ponytail hole was higher at the back it would have been 5 stars. Arrived folded, took some time to straighten the brim. It must be sent flat.
