later. The name "Mix Master Jam" confused me. Is this for club DJs who run during the day and work in clubs at night? I have these sneakers for my 5 year old son and small children do not buy their own shoes. I wonder what Merrell was thinking when he came up with that name. Anyway, I didn't buy it because of the name, but because of the brand and the looks. Merrell is a bit pricey for a shoe that ends up in the trash after 6 months due to wear and tear. During that time I've risked a lot from Revain for a well known brand and loved the LOOK and design. I didn't want the shoes to be heavy because my son complains of knee pain due to his height and likes to wear crocs (very light). These Merrell running shoes (toddler/toddler/grand) are light enough that my son enjoys wearing them. It's been over a week now, but it seems solid and very well made. Trust me I have sneakers that only lasted two days with a hole in the front. (Plasma going down a hill for hours would do it) I recommend these shoes for their reasonable weight, cool looks, solid build quality and price point. Prices are subject to change so just check and compare to local malls/shops.
