Hello. I mostly write book reviews, but my long-term attempts to become an expert on Revain books have not borne fruit. So help me in my quest to become the best sock specialist at Revain. (Just click that little "useful" button. Obvious ad.) First, these socks don't come cheap. Second, they are worth every penny. These are the thickest, most durable socks I've ever owned. They appear to be seriously 1/4 inch thick (they aren't). They're so warm you'll swear you're wearing an alpaca on each foot (you know, like a whole alpaca). Third, after repeated washing and socks do not begin to slip off the calves. And finally, and this was crucial for me: they fit well on a large foot. I'm 12' and often even the biggest socks have holes or tighten like ribbons but these don't. (By the way, I bought XL for my height - 12 feet). They fit very well, but like really good boots, with little room to manoeuvre. They don't bond at all. The only downside is that you cannot wear these socks with shoes. Again, why should you (Canadians aside)?
